So... I survived the first day of school, lol. I think it went pretty well, much better than I expected. The students are great and very gracious. Tomorrow, I have to do it all over again. One day at a time, right? God has not promised us tomorrow, but He has given us enough grace for today. I have noticed that to be an affective teacher, you have to always be prepared! It seems to take much planning and much faith. It is so easy to give into fear at times. I was thinking about verses that deal with fear, and I stumbled upon this one. Psalm 46:1-3...
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling." Selah (think on this)
Lol, this is how I feel at times, when the unknown is terrifying and when the waters are roaring and foaming around us. He is our strength!!! He is so close if we would just reach out for Him.
