My sister-in-law, Kristal, often tells me things that my nephew, Tate, says. Being so far from my little guys has ripped my heart out at times. I get to Skype with them a couple of times a month and sometimes once a week. Back in August and September when I Skyped with Tate, he would say stuff like, "Aunt Sara, can you just get in your car and come over?" Almost in tears, I would respond, "Tate, I can't, it's too far. I live in Cambodia." 4 year-old Tate knows I live in Cambodia and He even knows I came here to tell people about Jesus. Kristal says that sometimes Tate will say, "Aunt Sara is in Cambodia, telling people about Jesus." My heart melts when I hear that, and I pray that the Lord uses me in my feeble attempts to tell people about Jesus. Because I know how weak I am, and I know how often I miss opportunities to tell people about Jesus. The reality is that I'm here because God brought me here to show me His great work and allow me to be a part of it. A few months ago, Tate said something like, "Yeh... Aunt Sara used to be my best friend... but I know she is coming back in the summer time to play with me." Just the other day, Kristal said that out of the blue Tate said, "Mom I can't wait for June, because it's my birthday and Aunt Sara will be here." Ohhhh! It makes me cry. I treasure my family and I'm so thankful for them in my life! The Lord has overflowed my cup with an amazing family.
