Me

Take a break from all the plans that you have made and sit alone at home and wait for God to whisper. Beg Him please to open up His mouth and speak and pray for real upon your knees until they blister... Jimmy Needham

He is so faithful...

So, I have to admit that I had a break down yesterday. Some of you who know me well, might know that I have a tendency to commit to way to much. Lol, actually I'm terrible at saying "no" especially when it is for a good cause. Well, there is an ESL class taught as part of an after school program.  It's for local kids who might not be able to afford English class anywhere else. Many of these kids haven't heard the Gospel. One of the teachers asked if I would help out and of course, I said "yes". We had a meeting about it yesterday, and the stress quickly started to rise in my chest. You know that feeling when you can't take anymore? Yep, I reached that point. So, I've been praying about this and I don't know if God wants me to do it or not. If He does, I will do my best, love the kids, and show them Jesus. If not He will provide someone else who is capable of doing the same thing. He doesn't need me. I just blogged a few days about how the most important thing in all we do is to love. If we have not love, we are useless.  Wherever God calls us and to whatever He calls us to do, He will always provide what we need.  He will never let us walk alone!

Every Thursday, we will have a chapel service at school with the students.  During chapel this week, we sang the song, "Never Once" by Matt Redman. The lyrics go like this:

Standing on this mountain top
Looking just how far we've come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us
Kneeling on this battleground
Seeing just how much You've done
Knowing every victory
was Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did you leave us on our own. You are faithful. God, You are faithful.

So..... During the school year, on the last day of school, one of the students died in an accident. He was in the 11th grade and a friend to many students here. He was a follower of Jesus so there is peace in know that He is with Jesus. However, the students are hurting very deeply.  Please pray that this will cause the students to turn to Jesus and know that He has a purpose in it even though it is difficult to understand. Please pray that as teachers we would know how to love the students through this tragedy.

We have never walked alone, not once. Even on the loneliest of days and on the darkest of nights and in the deepest valleys, Jesus is carrying us.  If only we trusted Him enough to let Him carry us all the time, right?  He will not give us more than we can handle. Make haste unto us oh God!!!

"But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God!  You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay!"  Psalm 70:5

I LOVE this new praise song, too! Lance has been teaching it to us on Wednesday nights. The words are so precious and so true! Sometimes I sing them to myself during the day. So glad that God gave you the blessing of this song.
    Love you,
    MOM
