Wow, it has been way too long since I have written a blog. It's technically still summer, right? LOL At least this blog is in before the end of the summer. Stay tuned for more to come soon after this one!

Hanging at the beach... |
My summer break in America flew by faster than I expected. I had such a great time with family and friends. The Lord reminded how blessed I am to have a great family, great friends, and a great church family as well. Hanging out with my Jon, Kristal, and their 3 boys is always something I look forward too. Those boys, Tate, Berek, and Zeke, bring so much energy and so much joy. It's like I can't get enough of them. I already miss them greatly. Skyping with them from Cambodia is fun, but it usually involves them yelling my name and then darting out the back door to go play, lol. It's amazing how kids can win a place in your heart. I spent a week in Florida with this sweet family. I'm thankful for the precious time I had with them. I also got to meet up with an old friend, Whitney. Good times!

Yummy! |
I had a week with some dear friends in Texas. It was so good to see them!
Drinking coffee with my mom and chatting about life and what God is doing around us might be one of my most cherished moments. I could do it everyday, and someday in heaven we will! :) I love my mom and all the support she has given me over the years and her many prayers that keep me running hard after Jesus.
I also spent time with my stepdad, Alan, and he helped me run a successful garage sale. Garage sales bring back many family memories, as we used to have one every year. I also got to visit a prison with my stepfather and talk about what God is doing in Cambodia. It was one of the highlights this summer. The men were so encouraging as I spoke about my struggles and victories in Cambodia and about the amazing work God is doing. I was also greatly encouraged by the way the men respected Alan and how Alan respected them. They learn from each other as they talk about God's work in their lives. If you have never visited a group of believers in a prison, you should do it. It's humbling and encouraging. You think you have so much to give them, when in reality they are on fire for Jesus and have so much to give you.
I also had a great time seeing my little bro and his wife. I love those two so much! They have a special place in my heart, and I pray that God will bless them greatly.
I visited my home church, and I was greatly encouraged by their prayers and their excitement of what God is doing. I'm so thankful for them. I'm thankful for how God is using them in their own communities as well.
Thank you all for a great summer! Thank you for blessing me in so many ways.
Sara, I am glad to hear you are doing well. I think of you often and look forward to the pics you post detailing your adventures. Wish I could have seen you while you were here. Maybe next time:)
