Me

Take a break from all the plans that you have made and sit alone at home and wait for God to whisper. Beg Him please to open up His mouth and speak and pray for real upon your knees until they blister... Jimmy Needham

Flooding

It is monsoon season here in Cambodia.  For the last month, the rain has been falling out of the sky in buckets.  About 2 weeks ago, it rained so much that one of the streets on my way to school flooded extremely bad.  It was flooded up to my knees for about 3 days.  Try riding a bicycle in knee high water! It's does a wonder to the bike gears, and it's quite a workout.

Many peoples' houses have been flooded for days and weeks.  I don't know if you have ever been around much flooding.  After the water sits for days it becomes stagnant and gross.  Flooding destroys houses, leaving people homeless.  People here are used to the flooding, but this year has been exceptionally bad.  My apartment has not flooded or sprung any leaks.  I'm thankful that The Lord has provided me with a dry place to sleep, but it makes me feel bad that there people out there who do not have dry places to sleep.  Please pray for the people of Cambodia as they deal with the flooding.

I've seen God's provision in the midst of the flooding.  God doesn't seem to allow more rain than the people handle.  It rained really heavy for 3 days straight, which caused some of the major flooding.  After the streets were flooded to the max, God shut up the sky and it didn't rain again for about 4 days.  I know that God hears the cries of his people.

If you look closely, you will see a man's bed (his home).
God can stop the rain whenever He wants, so hold on dear friends.  In the storms of life, God is faithful to not give us more than we can handle.  He will stop the rain, eventually. :)

Praise God for his faithfulness!!
